Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AJOINT oil pipeline project company is being formed by Esso, Mobil, Petrofina. Regent and Shell-Mex and B.P. which, subject to authorization under the Pipelines Act, 1962, will plan construction of a system connecting the Midlands with refineries and installations on the Thames and Mersey.

The pipelines, to meet Midlands industrial needs over a period of 15 years, should be built by 1965-66 and will carry light products such as petrol, piraffin, diesel fuel, gas oil, aviation, fuels and light feedstocks for gasworks, Dlstribution is planned from terminals near Birmingham, Northampton, Nottngham, and North and West London.

The syStem may become available to other oil companies.

h /SORE than 40 safe driving awards • IVI were made last week to drivers of the south eastern division of British Road Services. These were the 1961 awards in the safe driving competition sponsored by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

The awards were made in two sections. In the first, eight medals for at least 25 years' accident-free driving Were presented by Mr. T. G. Gibb, chairman of British Road Services. The first presentation made by Mr. Gibb was to 69-year-old Mr. G. W. ChOat, who received a 41-year gold bar. Mr..Choat is the only driver in the country to receive this award.

In the second section 25 bars, each for a minimum of 20 years' safe driving, were presented.
