HELPING MUSHROOMS GROW: Twenty-six Albion Chieftain Super Six lorries. worth £50.000, have been ordered by Royal Ascot Nurseries. They will be used to collect stable manure throughout southeast England for processing at the company's main depot. This is later delivered to market gardeners and mushroom growers throughout the country.

FOR IRELAND: Two large Irish companies, Irish Shell andBP Ltd. and Ranks (Ireland) Ltd., have placed orders with Albion Motors Ltd. for a total of 13 lorries. Shell's order is for seven Super Reivers on which the operator will mount 3,000-gal. tanks, and Ranks has ordered six Chieftain Super Six vehicles for carrying a variety of products.

FOR GUINNESS: Arthur Guinness .Son and Co. (Dublin) Ltd. has ordered nine Leyland: Octopus 240.9R eight-wheelers for carrying malt in bulk. Guinness will build the bodies in its own workshops from materials supplied by Holmes (Preston) Ltd.

FOR FIYDRO -ELECTRIC PROJECT: Twelve Leyland Comet 4 x 4 chassis have been ordered from Ashok Leyland Ltd., Madras, for work on the Trisuli Hydel Project.

ON PUBLIC SERVICE: The Crown Agents for Overseas Governments and Administrations has ordered three Leyland Comet chassis with six-speed gearboxes for operation with the Jamaica Public Works Department. They will be shipped complete with 1,200-gal. water tanks, built by Always Welding Ltd., Aldershot.

FIRST CATCH THEM: Madras Government Fisheries Department has ordered four Leyland. Comet 7-8-ton chassis on which insulated bodies will be built. They will be used on fish distribution.

NATIONAL BENZOLE GO ALBION : The National Benzole Co. Ltd. has ordered six Reiver RE27AN chassis from Albion Motors Ltd.

IN TWO SIZES: .4 repeat order has been placed by Hall Bros. (South Shields) Ltd. for two 30-ft.-long Leyland Leopard L.2 coaches and a 36ft.-Iong Leyland Leopard PSLI3.3 model.

SCOTTISH OPERATORS PLACE £200,000 ORDER: A.E.C. Ltd. has received orders worth nearly £200,000 for 73 Reliance singledecker chassis from two major passenger transport operators in Scotland. W. Alexander and Sons Ltd. has ordered 41 coaches and Scottish Omnibus Ltd. of Edinburgh, 32, 12 for 36-11.-long bodies. Both operators have specified Lc. generating equipment.
