mercial vehicles over the first half of the current year were of some 7,851, or -some 24.7 per cent more than the total of 6,298 for the corresponding 1961 period, it is announced in Berne. Of the new licences granted over the period for such vehicles, totalling 6,612 (5,239), some 3,299 (2,281) went to goods vehicles —an increase of 44.6 per cent—and a further 2,745 (2,514) to vans, 427 (310) to special commercial vehicles and 141 (134) to buses.
