L.T.E. TO CARRY EVERYONE

Nreduction will be made in peak/I hour bus and Green Line services when fuel rationing is introduced, the London Transport Executive announced on Tuesday. The fuel cut-will chiefly affect evening and week-end services. Trolleybus services will be unchanged.

"We mean to carry everyone to and from work, including all those who have been using cars," a spokesman said. Services would be kept under close watch, and necessary adjustments would be made quickly.

HIGHER FILM RATES? INCREASED rates for film transport I are sought by F.T.S. (Great Britain), Ltd., in the north-west. The company have written to Lanchshire branches of she Cinematograph Exhibitors' Association pointing out that since the previous variation in rates nearly two years ago, drivers have received on an average an extra LI 12s. 6d. a week, and mechanics' pay had also risen.

The proposed new charge is 2s. a week per cinema higher than existing rates.

.COALENE FUEL SUCCESS

GOOD results from using a 20-percent. admixture of Coalene, an indigenous fuel, with oil fuel in vehicles has been reported by Mr. F. Thorp, general manager of Bury Transport Department. Nearly all the department's vehicles use the fuel.
