Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ASCHEME involving the expenditure of £50,000 on a fleet of refrigerated semi-trailer outfits for the delivery of fresh-frozen foods to over 3,000 retail establishments, has been launched by John Connell (Bromley), Ltd., South Station Approach, Bromley, Kent.

The first of the 10 units contemplated, which was inspected by "The Commercial Motor last week, comprises a Bedford tractor and a Scammell 10-ton semi-trailer, the outfit being fitted with the Bedford-Scammell coupling gear. The Frigidaire refrigeration plant, which is carried in a compartment in the front of the body. has its compressor driven by a J.A.P.

air-cooled petrol engine. .

The condensing unit Lily auto matic and is fitted with a countershaft drive incorporating fast and loose pulleys. Six Winget Dole eutecticfilled evaporators are used, each measuring 6 ft. by 2 ft. 6 ins, by l ins. and weighing about 2 cwt. These evaporator plates are carried on brackets secured to the inside walls of the body.

Fibre Glass Insulation Exterior body panels are of 18-gauge aluminium, and the interior walls are built in tongued-and-grooved softwood. The insulating medium is resin-bonded fibre glass, which fills the 4-in, gap between the outer panels and the inside walls. This depth of insulation also applies to the roof, floor and the rear doors. There is a double floor built of 11-in. wood.

The body standards between the inner and outer skins are of 2-in. material and are staggered. If single 4-in, members were used, it would be impossible to introduce any insulating medium between the panels and the standards.

, All body runners and bearers are full-length oak members, and the body frame structure is of oak and mahogany. Ash is excluded as not being entirely satisfactory when used in a refrigerated body. The body has a capacity of 800 cubic ft. (10 tons) and was supplied by the Scarborough Garage, 2, Scarborough Road, London, E.11. Coaches and Components, Ltd., 469, Holloway Road, London, N.7, supplied the semi-trailer, John Connell (Bromley), Ltd., has a 90-ton cold store at Bromley, and these articulated outfits will run between the docks and Bromley, as well as making direct deliveries, The company's main business is connected with the distribution of imported Continental and other frozen goods. These include cooked pork chops and beef steaks, reindeer carcases, rabbits and sausage meat, the last-named being in 90-1b. slabs. At the present time the concern runs 15 of its own vehicles and about 25 are hired under contract. Turnover exceeds £1m. a year
