WAGES of skilled and semi-skilled W workers in the motor retail and repairing industry have been advanced by 3d. per hour, and those of other grades by 20. per hour. Juniors are to receive proportional increases.
This has been agreed by the industry's national joint industrial council. The new rates will take effect on the first pay day after yesterday (November 29). The period in which holidays may be taken will be April-September, instead of May-September.
