• Transcover of Aylesford, Kent, has developed an automatic front-to-rear skip sheeting system that can be retrofitted to all skip handling bodies fitted with a crossbar.
The Skippy system, which operates electrically from ground level, covers all sizes of skip; it uses gas shocks to control the arm movements.
Many parts are interchange able and there's a one-year warranty on parts and threeyears on the motor. The fitting work, which costs .21,950 for an individual chassis or 21,600 for fleets, can be carried out UKwide by any of its 12 outlets or six mobile service agents.
Transcover is also developing a sheeting system for minihigh tower skips.
