Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

and propose to take to rallies. Could you tell me if it is necessary for my vehicle to be plated and tested annually, do I need a heavy goods vehicle driving licence and will it be necessary to fit reflective rear markers?

A The "magic" date which allows vintage vehicles on the road without having to comply with many of today's legal requirements is January 1, 1940. Exemption from plating and testing for vehicles first registered before that date is contained in Schedule 2 of the Goods Vehicle (Plating and Testing) Regulations 1971. Exemption from hgv driving licence requirements is contained in Regulation 28 (n) provided the vehicle is used unladen and does not draw a laden trailer. And there is no need to fit reflective rear markings, under Regulations 2 (p) and 4 (a) of the Motor Vehicles (Rear Markings) Regulations 1970, for vehicles of that age.
