Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A CORONER HAS blamed a young truck driver for an accident in which a motorcyclist was killed.

Oliver Preston, 24, of Corse, Glos escaped a driving ban earlier this year after he admitted careless driving at South Cerneynear Cirencester in April 2005.

Motorcyclist Shaun Gearing collided with the fuel tank of Preston's truck after Preston pulled out from a junction and failed to notice him. Cirencester magistrates imposed nine penalty points on Preston's licence and fined him 050.

Now coroner Alan Crickmore has laid the blame for the accident firmly at Preston's door. He said: -Whether he stopped or slowed down before crossing the junction matters very little.

-Whatever he did, he failed to observe the presence of a motorcycle on a major road. In failing to observe him he was clearly responsible for the collision that occurred in which Mr Clearing lost his life."
