POLICE ARE appealing to the driver of a tipper truck, who may have witnessed a road collision in south Wales in which a motorcyclist died, to come forward.

A 69-year-old man from the Rhondda area, riding a red Honda bike, collided with a Vauxhall Zaira on the A465 Heads of the Valleys road between Merthyr and Hirwaun, on 2 June at about 11.20am.

A police statement says: “We are keen to trace the driver of a blue goods vehicle who may have witnessed the collision.” Anyone with information should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 02920 633438.
