Lynch is a keen advocate of Transport for London’s Freight Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).
FORS helps firms benchmark vehicle performance against those of other operators, identify areas for improvement and provide evidence of efficiency to customers.
It aims to assist hauliers to cut vehicle incidents and collisions, fuel use, CO2 emissions, and penalties and infringements.
Lynch says: “We have won the FORS bronze award and are strong supporters of the scheme. “Operating in London, there are big challenges – but also big rewards.” According to Lynch, there is also now “more understanding” between cyclists and truck drivers in London thanks to training provided through FORS.
He believes road pricing is a “good idea” to help the flow of traffic in the capital, although admits the firm’s congestion charge bill is about £63,000 a year.
