By Joanna Bourke KENT-BASED haulier Ardula is offering a £5,000 reward for help in catching those responsible for two petrol bomb attacks that left one HGV written off and others damaged.

The construction tipper firm has fallen victim to attacks twice in the same week.

According to Kent Police, on 2 July. between 11pm and 12.20am, three trucks had their windows smashed at the firm's depot on the Woodfalls Industrial Estate in Laddi ngford, near Maidstone, wh ile a 26-tonne tipper was destroyed by a petrol bomb thrown into the cab.

"There are about 15 businesses on the estate including a paper plate and plastic cutlery supplier, and the fires could have spread," says Ardula managing director Martin Dace.

As a result of the attacks, the haulier has now invested in extra fencing. In a further incident, between 5pm on 9 July and 6.45am the following morning, another petrol bomb was thrown into one of Ardula's Caterpillar bulldozers at the group's Chatham yard. Dace estimates that the two attacks have cost his company approximately £35,000.
