Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Old-established Brighouse, West Yorkshire-based ERF distributor Reliance is now representing Isuzu too.

"We'd a need for something at the lighter end of the market, and signing up with Isuzu has opened up a completely new area for us," says general sales manager Malcolm Drury.

"We were especially interested in Isuzu because it now has a 7.5-tanner in its range," he adds. "A lot of our customers are 7.5-tonner operators, and we don't want them to have to go elsewhere to buy their vehicles.

"The Isuzu 7.5-tanner offers a good payload at a very competitive price, and the retail price is fixed and non-negotiable," Drury points out. "That means the salesman doesn't have to get involved with haggling. He can talk about specification instead. We believe that competitors will find it difficult to undercut us anyway. And Isuzus come with a two-year, unlimited mileage warranty." Simon Bland is in charge of Isuzu sales.

How has ERF reacted to the additional franchise? "We've not raised the matter with it," Drury replies.
