Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Hook on vehicle tracking (CM 23-29 July). In it he states: "The GSM network cannot give data coverage beyond national boundaries"

I would like to point out that GSM coverage across Europe is extensive and with the system we use there is no problem with international roaming.

The Crosland Company has successfully provided data, voice and location systems for a number of years now.

We predominantly operate over the GMS network and our main customer base is among international hauliers in the UK and Ireland.

Our customers rely heavily on the data messaging and vehicle tracking provided by our system to manage and operate large fleets. These customers can also demonstrate communications cost savings in the region of 40%.

Mr Hook's comment is, in my view, inaccurate and misleading and I would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate this to him at a customer's premises in the near future.
