From Smith Bros and Webb Ltd comes the Britannia Strong, a fully automatic three-brush mobile gantry washer capable of handling both the largest of commercial vehicles and, by operating a selector switch, small delivery vans.
Features of the design include oil/air activation of the side brushes for smoother operation and the fitting of British-built electric motors. The three-brush gantry is contained in a heavy-guage, hollow section steel frame.
Raising and lowering of the roof brush is controlled by an effect relay which guarantees that the brush pressure remains constant and is not influenced by variations in mains .voltage.
