NATIONWIDE exprets par. cels carrier Carryfast Ltd has. been taken over by SPD Ltd.
Carryfast will continue tc operate as a separate business unit within the SPD Group under its existing management.
Mr Ian Daniel, chairman ol SPD, said that the purchase oi Carryfast "continues a strategy of planned growth based on specialisation by market sector which we have successfully operated over the past six years."
It is expected that Carryfast will provide a collection and distribution facility for SPD's groupage and airfreight forwarding business Unifast.
SPD turnover will be increased by more than f.5 million to £50 million a year by the acquisition.
