-pUTURE trends in materials handling
equipment, the in-transit handling 'of containers and other unit loads are among the many subjects which will be covered in a special two-week course at Cranfield from November 14 to 26 this year. Formal lectures, discussion sessions and projects and exercises will be included in the course. details of which can be obtained from the Cranfield Work Study School, Cranfield, Beds.
The Fourth International Conference of the Institute of Materials Handling will be held on May 13-15 next year at the Royal Garden Hotel, London, W.8. ft will be divided into four sections dealing with techniques and equipment; economic aspects; transportation and distribution: and the human element. It will coincide with the Materials Handling Exhibition.
