Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Auxiliary electrical power system specialist Antares has developed an on-board AC power system using standard 12 and 24V vehicle alternators, providing a simple alternative to portable gensets to overcome the problems of noise, theft and petrol handling, Boasting continuous output power levels of 2kW at 240 or 110VAC, the unit will drive all types of specialist lighting as well as running/charging power tools, compressors, computers, videos, TVs and cooking equipment.

Initial start-up power of three times the running current will start even the most difficult loads and the unit is fully automatic, protecting itself against short circuits and overloads. Its centre-tapped output has an earth leakage trip for added operator safety.

Installation is straightforward and systems can be tailored to fleet requirements. Typical users might include mobile workshops, windscreen replacement vehicles and coach operators.
