The Pippin Plan Holiday Competition advertised in CM has been won by DCT Mutch of Kraft Foods Transport. The lucky man has won himself a holiday for two in Tenerife because he got the driver's check list right and submitted the best slogan: "A pippin a day keeps the Ministry away." Now why didn't I do that?
The second prize went to J. M. Bird, a two-vehicle operator, who flies off (sorry Mr Bird) to Majorca on March 23 for two weeks, and the anonymous proprietor of Churchfields Dairies Ltd of Salisbury, in third place, gets a week off in Benidorm.
Now it can be told; the correct check list was; Engine oil 3; Tyres 1; Batteries 4; Auto lube 6; Lights 2; Fuel 5.
