OMMERCIAL-VEHICLE exports 1--• in October were the highest ever recorded for one month. During the month, 28,979 units were produced, the weekly average being 7,245.

Of the total, 11,175 went for export and 17,804 were for the home market.

Exports during October, excluding dumpers and industrial trucks, totalled 15,498 units, their value, including dumpers and industrial trucks, being £9,359,722. For the 10 months to October exports totalled £78.768.410.

Production figures for November were even better than those for October, the weekly average being 7,250, with a total for the month of 29,025 units. Exports during the month were valued at £7.67m., the units concerned being goods and passenger vehicles and road haulage tractors.
