ARBROATH Town Council has approved a recommendation of the cleansing and finance committees to purchase another motor vehicle.
PORTLAND Urban District Council has accepted the tender, at 1235, of Messrs. Edwards, of Dorchester, for the supply of a Bedford motor lorry Of 2-ton capacity.
IIORNSEY Education Committee is to make allowance in estimates for the provision of another motor mower for the school playing fields, at an estimated
cost of £81. .
The works committee of WALLASEY Corporation has accepted the tender of Mr. D. Stanley Smith at £181 for the supply of a Morris-Commercial 1-ton tipping lorry.
J. Kerr and Co., of Northwich, has given to the fire-brigade committee of SEAHAM HARBOUR Urban District Council a demonstration of the Drysdale trailer fire pump.

The EDINBURGH police authorities are inviting tenders for the supply of four four-cylinder 7 h.p. or 8 h.p. light vans, the price of each not to exceed £98 10s. Further details can be obtained from the chief constable, Parliament Square, Edinburgh, and tenders have to be delivered to the town clerk by January 9, 1933.
The electricity department of SALFORD Corporation is inviting tenders for the supply of a tractor capable of hauling 8-ton loads on four-wheeled trailers. Further particulars and a form of tender may be obtained from the city electrical engineer, electricity department, Frederick Road, Salford. Tenders have to be delivered by first post on January 9.
