Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

II Merlin Equipment's new PROsine 1000i DC-to-AC power inverter will enable a vehicle driver/user to operate virtually any mains-powered equipment such as computers, TV/videos or power tools, while out on the road, and without the need for an external AC hook-up.

The unit has a backlit LCD dot matrix display that shows battery voltage, current draw, inverter output in Watts and gives audible and visual warning of faults.

By unscrewing the display module the driver has a remote control unit that works up to 25ft away using a simple telephone cable. There's also a remote off-switch.

Specialist users will appreciate features like overload, overheat, short circuit and low/high battery protection. Unlike other inverters, PROsine also has a transient spike and AC back-feed protection against the toughest AC loads or installation error.

Available in both 12V and 24V input, the unit retails from £650.
