Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I N a decision issued last Friday, the chairman of the North Western Traffic Commissioners, Maj.-Gen. A. F. J. Elmslic, said the p.s.v. licences of Eagle Motor Coaches Ltd. would not be revoked or suspended (The Commercial Motor, August 23).

However, he expressed concern regarding the lack of maintenance to the company's fleet and added that this had been so bad that it fully merited action under Section 127 (7) of the Road Traffic Act, 1960. The Commissioners appreciated that such action might well have a grave, if not disastrous, effect on the company's business in its present circumstances, aril having regard to the evidence produce' by Eagle Motor Coaches, the cornpan might be showing a greater appreciatiol of its responsibilities in the future_

A severe warning was given, howevet that if more attention was not paid to th condition of the vehicles, the Commis sioners would have no alternative but t' suspend or revoke any licences held. further condition added that every yehiell operated by Eagle Motor Coaches mus be inspected every three months by tech nical officers of the North Western ft-a& area.
