wE regret to record the deaths of Mr. G. E. Brown, Mr. A. Cave. Mr. G. Herworth, Mr. G. Moir. Mr. Karl Probst and Mr. T. L. Webster.

Mr. Brown, founder of G.N.E. Bus Services, Darlington, died recently at 81. He started his business at Bishop Auckland in 1925 and later pioneered a bus service between Darlington and Carlisle.

Mr. Cave, of Whaplode. Lines, who was in business as a haulier for many years until he retired, died recently at 71.

Mr. Herworth, 53, died recently while on holiday. For the past six years he had been an area manager of the C.W.S. London traffic department, moving south from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where he was an assistant area manager.

Mr. Moir, transport manager with Aberdeen Journals Ltd. until his retirement in 1961, has died at the age of 67. He served with the Aberdeen newspaper group for nearly 36 years and had some 50 years of transport experience. He became transport manager in 1950.

Mr. Probst, designer of the Jeep. died on Monday at his home in. Dayton, Ohio. He was 79.

Mr. Webster, formerly of Albion Motors Ltd., Glasgow, and one of the pioneers of tramcar development in that city, died recently in his home at Moffat, at 93.
