Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Webwatch turns its attention to the used offering from trailer manufacturer Schmitz Cargobult

Wows: Jame!, Clark

Company: Schmitz Cargobull Address: www.cargobull.com The Schmitz Cargobull homepage is reassuringly simple for what is a huge website. It contains little more than a 'search' box, a few links to the major parts of the site, and the option to 'select your country.

If. like us, you are interested in used trailers, do the following: click on the icon representing your country's flag, then select 'second-hand vehicles' from the left-hand menu, and finally choose 'online vehicle sales' from the sub-menu tnat appears.

Product search

With the Schmitz website having well over a thousand used trailers, we wouldn't advise anyone to browse through all the listings.

Fortunately, the 'trailer search tool' allows you to conduct very specific searches. Use the drop-down menus to set your desired body type, manufacturer, price bracket, age and a host of other fields. You don't have to fill in all of them but the more you complete, the fewer results you will have to look through.

Once you hit 'search', the website will list all the trailers that meet your criteria. Each listing includes the usual thumbnail image and brief details, as well as a price (in euros) and an icon indicating the trailer's type (box, curtainsider, tipper and so forth).

At time of writing, around two-thirds of the used trailers in stock were Schmitz Cargobull examples. although a wide range of other manufacturers were also represented.

To find out more about a particular trailer, click on the 'show details' link or the thumbnail image either will take you to the some page. Here you will find comprehensive details, including the trailer's dimensions, type of suspension and location. Schmitz has secondhand vehicle depots located across the Continent.

You will also be able to access more photos of the tater, including clear internal and external shots. Click on any to see a larger version and then select 'zoom' to see an even larger version.

To express an interest in a particular trailer, you can email the appropriate Schmitz depot using the address given on the 'show details' page. The company also has a 'second-hand vehicles hotline', the details of which can be found on the right-hand side of any page in this section of the website. To find out more about the Schmitz used offering in general, use the menu displayed to the right of the trailer search tool. This will give you information on trade-ins, financing your used purchase, service contracts with Schmitz, and the locations of the company's depots. And by clicking on 'CTS news' you will able to sign up for Cargobull Trailer Store News a free PDF newsletter.

Select the main 'second-hand vehicles' menu and then click on the spinning globe icon over on the right to download an export checklist.

(er, 'services:).

Conclusion

If you can't find a used trailer to suit on the Schmitz Cargobull website, then it probably doesn't exist.
