Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AMBITIOUS MARKET share targets and two new trailers have quelled talk of redundancies at Schmitz Cargobull (UK).

News from the firm's Germany head off ice of job losses within the group (CM 16 April 2009) was downplayed by Nigel Somers, regional sales director in the UK. The domestic reefer market has stayed strong, and he is using Schmitz's 40% share in that market as a target for curtainsider sales.

"We believe we have 15% to 17% of the curtainsider market, so we have 25% to go. Freepost will do some of it, and we have a new fixed-roof curtainsider, which will be launched soon."

The Freepost trailer (pictured) is 4.2m high and has tapered cant rails, 13.3m side aperture, and reinforced rear end for better impact protection. It weighs 6,680kg with prices from £16,950 (ex-VAT).

The Folding Wall Trailer is aimed at dairy but is also relevant to operators using insulated box and curtainsiders. The 10-door sidewall opens up to give unobstructed access. The example available in the UK weighs 8.5 tonnes. with a refrigeration unit adding 950kg. It is priced at £53,000 (ex-VAT).
