AN ULSTER operator can look forward to low excise duty rates with this six-axle 38 tonne combination. A Volvo F1220 tractive unit with Gray and Adams tri-axle refrigerated trailer has recently entered service with Dukes Transport, Portadown.
The tractive unit was supplied by Dennison Commercials of Ballydare, and is equipped with a 100-gallon auxilliary saddle tank, 12speed gearbox, twin bunks and in-cab heater. The air suspended second axle is self-tracking.
The Petter-equipped trailer has a split compartment facility for combined frozen and dry freight loads, and the outfit will carry fresh and frozen meat throughout Europe and to North Africa.
