Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MY MIND drifted back to the Great Western Railway's glamorous Castle class of steam locomotive when Merthyr Tydfil Transport Department told me that two Dennis Lancets with Wadham Stringer Vanguard 33seat bodies had been named Cyfarthfa Castle and Morlais Castle respectively. The Festival of Castles is the Wales Tourist Board's main publicity theme this year.

Five of the council's buses intended partially for private hire have now been named under a policy adopted last year. The others are Dr Joseph Parry, William Crawshay II and Clichela-Garenne, Merthyr's twin town in France.

Bestowal of the Castle cachet on diesel-engined buses will probably be regarded as heresy by steam buffs — and who will blame them?
