Wincanton's relocation plans will make drivers redundant
WINCANTON'S PLANS to relocate its Teesport trolling operation to other sites has left a number of drivers facing redundancy.
The logistics firm says one of its customers asked it to review transport operations at the port site. As a result, Wincanton has proposed moving the work to other centres in its network by mid-September.
A company spokesman says: "Regrettably, up to 21 employees could be affected, and Wineanton has now started a formal consultation process with those individuals"
