Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Are daily digitach printouts necessary?

am an HGV driverusing a digi ta 1 tachograph — must I do printouts everyday?

DRIVERS WHO HAVE a digi card do not have to print a record at the end of every day.

A digital card stores up to 28 days' data on the chip and overwrites older data after 29 days. However, employers may ask you to download your digi card at the end of every week for their operational records. Data must be downloaded at least every 28 days for the digi card and the vehicle unit downloaded every 56 days, but in any case often enough to ensure that no data is lost.

The driver, by law, should have his digital card with him at all times — this will be his record of work — but they can choose to keep printouts for work done if he or she works for more then one employer because they are an agency or casual driver.
