is James Ham and Sons of Chelford is taking 71 new tractors from MAN in a major fleet replacement programme.

Each Evolution 12000 26.414FPLT is plated at 44 tonnes, in line with the managing director David Irlam's forecast of a move-up in weight for the industry.

The 6x2 pusher axle units replace 4x2 MANs to take advantage of improved VIII rates for 41-tonne work and are fitted with Long-Haul cabs and front disc brakes.
