HESTAIR-DENNIS'S new double-decker, the Dennis Dominator, was officially launched last week when the Guildford based company held a "drive-in" at the Goodwood motor circuit.
The occasion provided the first opportunity for a close inspection.
The smooth gear .changing characteristics of the Voith box, coupled with the performance of the 6LXB Gardner engine provided a lively performance and promises good fuel consumption figures. _ Although more expensive than some of its competitors, the Dominator is attracting many orders.
And, with its proven mechanical ingredients it should bring standards of reliability which have been lacking in certain rear-engined bus designs in the past.
The Dominator is available to take both single and double deck coachwork to a wide variety of specifications.
