TWO new twin-ram underbody tippin gear units, to complement the existin 4S gear, have been developed by Westo Works (Birmingham) Ltd., a member of th Butterfield group.

They are designed for use on vehicic grossing up to 20 tons and irtcorporat many of the proven features of the 4S; the are designated Weston 4M2X (a two-stag unit) and 4M3X, which has three stages.

An example of the 4M2X will be amon the range of Weston gears shown on Stan. 106 at the Commercial Motor Show.

Milestone for Daimler-Benz THE 100,000th Daimler-Benz heavy-dut

truck came off the assembly line recently the company's factory at Gaggenau in th Black Forest area of West Germany.

The factory, which was largely destroye during the last war, resumed production in 194 with 290 trucks. in 1950, production was 1,35: by 1955 it was 5,665; in 1960 the figure wa 7,945. Production rose to 9,630 in 1965 an 45 per cent of these were exported.

Gaggenau also produces the Unimog tractoi and the 100,000th example of this vehicle wa produced earlier this year.

Cripps Get £40,000 Loadstar Order: An ords worth some £40,000 has been placed by Jack Bradle (Accrington) Ltd. with R. Cripps and Co. Ltd. for 2 International Loadstar trucks. The vehicles will b model 1800 tractive units with 11 ft. 7 in. wheelbasv and will he employed in the company's fleet of lonE distance artics.
