VETERAN fire engines, some over 50 years old, can be seen in Battersea Park, London, on Sunday, September 4, from 2.30 p.m. until 5.30 p.m. These robust machines, immaculately kept by devoted owners, will be put through their paces in the park's Central Avenue.
LDOY Briefing Meeting: The Lorry Driver of the Year committee at Dunfermline have arranged a briefing meeting for Tuesday, September 6, at the Civil Defence Headquarters, Broomhead. The Dunfermline competitors who are attending the national final at Bramcote will be given details of the competition. There will be a film show, lasting 25 min., of the Dunfermline eliminating round. All those who competed in the eliminator have been invited to attend.
