• Job prospects in transport and distribution are looking good for the rest of the year, say employers. In a survey of employment prospects for Manpower, employers were asked if they would increase, decrease or maintain staffing levels until the end of December.
Some 45% of transport and distribution employers anticipate an increase in employment, with only 6% predicting a decrease. For industry as a whole, only 22% of employers are optimistic. Only the retail and leisure sectors anticipate greater employment opportunities than hauliers.
