Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

JOHN DURANT'S report in CM, September 4, reminded me of the excellent work carried out by the Area Maintenance Advisory Committees, particularly regarding safety and economy of operation.

We are very proud of the standard of back-up we provide but it is only by listening to the needs of operators that ' manufacturers like ourselves can expect to remain in the forefront of after-sales service. Through the medium of your journal we would like to invite the area committees to visit our Marlow headquarters and to see for themselves how we do it.

We can promise them an interesting day including a tour of our facilities during which we will show them our training school, parts warehouse and VOR system, computerised repair and maintenance contract costings, DAFlube maintenance schedules, and our DAFaid/ITS operation.

In view of their general interest in wheel fixings we would like to show them a tenminute audio-visual slide series we use in our training school, which has been very well received whenever it has been shown.

Further copies can be made available if other bodies are interested at the cost of £25 plus VAT. The kit comprises a tape plus 37 slides in a Kodak carousel magazine.

We look forward to seeing the Maintenance Committes in due course at Marlow when our engineers will have the opportunity of exchanging views with them which can surely only further our joint aims to improve safety and reduce operating costs.
