I T has been indicated by the French h a u la ge association — Federation Nationale des Transports Routiers (F.N.T.R.)—that in future the French authorities will require British trailers towed by French tractors to have carnets de passages en &Juane. This measure is designed to ensure a measure of registration or identification of the trailer, and does not apply to British rigids or complete articulated outfits operating in France.
B.O.C.'s 40-hr. week THE British Oxygen Co. Ltd. and the joint negotiating committee of the appropriate unions have agreed to the reduction of the working week from 42 to 40 hours for hourly rated employees, including transport workers, as from January 4, 1965. Further discussions as to the possibility of reducing overtime whilst maintaining earnings are to take place.
