Concession cut Opposed

THE plan of* the Northern Traffic Commissioners to abolish Workers' fares on the joint service: operated by Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough Transport Departments is to be opposed by' Middlesbrough Transport Committee. The ,committee *have asked trade unions, and other organizations likely. to be affected 'by the proposal, also to lodge objections.

As reported in The Commercial Motor on October 12, the proposal affects all Services run by-Sioekton.

Objections Lodged

OBJECTIONS have been lodged by Gosport Council and Gosport. Fareham and District Trades Council against a proposal by the Gosport and Fareham Omnibus Co. to increase charges on their services.
