L'OUR operators have lodged objec
tions and representations against a proposal by the Eastern. Traffic Commissioners to vary conditions relating to children's fares on excursions and tours. They are Messrs. C. F. Barnes and Son, Clacton-on-Sca, Eastern National Omnibus Co.,' Ltd., Rose Bros. (Chelmsford). Ltd, and Cansdall

The proposed new condition would provide that a child under three years, accompanied by an adult and not occupying a seat, would be carried free.. if more than one child werc. aecompanied by an adult, the additional child' or children ,would be carried at the ordinary fare for children over three. Children between the . ages *of 3 and 14 would be carried _at. two-thirds the adult fare'to the nearest 3d.. above.

Concession cut Opposed
THE plan of* the Northern Traffic Commissioners to abolish Workers' fares on the joint service: operated by Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough Transport Departments is to be opposed by' Middlesbrough Transport Committee. The ,committee *have asked trade unions, and other organizations likely. to be affected 'by the proposal, also to lodge objections.
As reported in The Commercial Motor on October 12, the proposal affects all Services run by-Sioekton.
Objections Lodged
OBJECTIONS have been lodged by Gosport Council and Gosport. Fareham and District Trades Council against a proposal by the Gosport and Fareham Omnibus Co. to increase charges on their services.
