Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AWHEEL-REMOVAL set which

not only simplifies the operation but prevents the studs suffering damage, has just been introduced by the Marsham Tyre Co., Ltd., 207-213 Oxford Street, London, W.I. The set consists of three steel sleeves and two levers.

When removing a wheel, three of the nuts are detached and a sleeve is placed over each of the three studs. It is important that the sleeves be disposed in the form of a triangle, with the top sleeve central.

Each of the levers is finished at one end in the form of a ball and when this is inserted in the end of a sleeve it forms a ball-joint, as one end of the sleeve is swaged to a smaller diameter. To remove the wheel, the remaining nuts are taken off and the ball ends of the levers are inserted in the two lower sleeves.

A push with the foot at the bottom of the wheel causes it to slide forward onto the sleeves clear of the studs and onto the levers.

Repiacentent is a reversal of this procedure. The three sleeves are placed over the same studs and the levers passed through the wheel and located in the leftand right-hand sleeves. The levers are then raised, when the wheel will slide into position without touching the studs. In addition to their primary duty the levers can also be used for tyre manipulation. The price of the set is £3 7s. 6d.
