Sons, Ltd., Daimler distributors in Israel, 10 Freeline buses have gone into service with the Dan Bus Co-operative and another 10 with the Egged Bus Co-operative, Tel Aviv.

The vehicles supplied to Dan have a wheelbase of 17 ft. 6 in. and four-speed gearboxes. Merkavirn Metal Works; Ltd., Tel Aviv, constructed the 32-seat bodywork, which has three air-operated folding doors. epicyclic gearboxes. To counteract dust, the engine-, gearbox, rear axle and other components are connectecl.to a. large .oilbath. air cleaner which breathes through

a centrifugal cleaner. • •

A :centrifugal. oil filter is provided in addition to the usual filter, and a specialcorrosion-resistant. water-cooling system is fitted, together with an extra radiator header lank. and high-speed water pump., -Forty-three-seat ..bodywork was built by Ha'argas, Lid, The' vehicieS operate from Tel -Aviv on loog-distance tours to Haifa, Jerusalem and Eilat,covering 200 miles over the Negev desert. During the summer, the vehicles will operate in temperature; of up to 120 F.
