Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

rear axle fitted on Austin and TMorris WE K60 3-ton, normalcontrol chassis has been changed. The new unit has a pressed-steel centre instead of the cast-type centre employed until now.

Main reasons for the change are given as rationalization of component parts on various models and the permitting of common axle units on FG K80 4-tonner and WE K60 chassis. The new axle gives a rear-wheel track of 5 ft. 5f in., compared with 5 ft. 3 in. in the case of the unit fitted previously.

Dump Truck Kit

(VERSE AS operators can new buy • -." the Scammell Sherpa Mk. III dump truck in kit form with considerable reduction in shipping charges. Chassis are not pre-assembled, as is the usual practice when exporting in C.K.D. condition, but are packed as components. Each pack forms a sub-assembly, such as the rear axle and suspension, Leyland 0.680 diesel engine and gearbox, front axle, steering and suspension and so on.

Kits are dispatched either as chassis and engine only, or can include the cab and Telehoist tipping gear, also in pack

form. Instructions for assembly are provided with each pack, and assembly is normally undertaken by the Scammell agent or associate factory in each territory, although kits can be sold direct for assembly by the customer.
