Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

With Euro-6 engine specification more or less identical to Euro-5, the driver is unlikely to see or feel any real difference on the road. It pulls the same as a Euro-5, it cruises like a Euro-5 and it could well have been a Euro-5 for all CM would have known, but the AdBlue tank and silencer unit give the game away.

CM took the R440 6x2 down the motorway outside Dottikon, Switzerland, and found it more than a match for its less-emission-friendly contemporaries, before taking the R480 on an urban/rural route through numerous Swiss villages.

A priority will be even more driver training and monitoring – as well as updates on truck software and third-party telematics – to keep on top of the regeneration prompts.

Ignoring them, says Scania, affects fuel economy, and claims of like-for-like running costs with Euro-5 will fall on stony ground.
