Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Wales-based steel haulage division CarlineTransport has lost business to its rivals following failed contract talks. The Bridgend firm was working with the strip products division of steel maker Corus from its Port Talbot plant.

It is believed West Midlands firm Multiserve and Llanelli operator Owens Road Services have picked up the work.

Stiller Group MD Paul Stiller says: "For the past year Carline Transport has been involved in close discussions with Corns Strip Products. These concluded in a reduction in the level of business that is undertaken by Carline Transport.

-Stiller Group is pleased to maintain its trading relationship with Corus Strip Products, and will continue to enjoy its successful relationship with other Corus plc divisions," he adds.

Stockton-on-Tees-based logistics operator Stiller acquired Carline in 2000 as part of a planned consolidation in its work with the heavy industrial sector. At the time of the buy-out it guaranteed Carline's commitments to Corus and -saved over 200 jobs".

Carline's most recent accounts, for the year ending 31 December 2003, reveal that it made a loss of £145,000 on a turnover of £16m. The previous year it had made a more modest £200,000 profit on an £18m turnover.
