Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

a vehicle at my home. I have to leave the untaxed vehicle on the road as I have no parking facilities but dare not risk leaving the trade plates on the vehicle overnight for the reasons. It would therefore appear that an offence is being committed even tf the vehicle is driven to and from my home on trade plates. What is your view on this?

AThere is no doubt that if you leave an untaxed vehicle on the road outside your house overnight, having removed the trade plates to avoid them being stolen, you will be committing an offence under Section 8 of the Vehicles (Excise) Act 1971 which states:
