Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A new range of chassisless van semitrailers, with special emphasis on low maintenance costs, has been introduced by Freight Bonallack Ltd. Available in gross combination weights of from 20 to 38 tons and in lengths from 2411 to 40ft, the trailers are constructed on a steel and alloy framework with aluminium used for the body panels.

Rubery Owen Rockwell running gear is used on all models, with axles plated at 10 tons for the single axle trailers and nine tons for the twin-axle vehicles. In all cases S cam brakes are used and on the tandem bogie loads are equalized by balance beams.

The main side members are extruded aluminium, coupling the cross-members and the vertical pillars, which are of steel tophat section. Huck-bolts are used for these joints which makes the replacement of damaged parts a simple operation. Aluminium extrusions are used for the cant rails and the front corner posts; these are also bolted to ease their replacement. All wires and piping are contained in a conduit running the full length of the trailer, above the crossmembers for extra protection against damage. Lamross two-speed landing gear, with twin wheels on each leg is offered as standard equipment.
