• Tuffnells Parcels Express is appealing to Preston Crown Court against a fine of £250 imposed by Lancaster magistrates for tacho offences.
Bid granted
• Overloading convictions and a number of prohibition notices have led to three vehicles being suspended from the licence of New Mills, Derbyshire-based H Crabtree for a week. North Western DTC Patrick Mulvenna granted the company's bid for an extra operating centre with eight more vehicles and 16 trailers, subject to environmental conditions.
Notice required MI New Covent Market-based Fenice has been granted a new two-vehicle licence at a London public inquiry, on condition that the TC will be notified in advance of any change in a lease-hire agreement with Lex Transfleet.
