On the passenger front, Peter Shipp is the Northern General's new assistant traffic manager. He is moving from Sputhdown Motor Services where he was their eastern divisional manager.
Mr Shipp joined North Western as a trainee but his first appointment was as traffic superintendent at Brighton with the Southdown company and he moved to his present job in 1972. ERF have appointed Alan Forster as excutive manager of purchasing for their Sandbach headquarters. He joined ERF as a student apprentice in 1953 and after a two-year period in engineering joined the purchasing department as a buyer.
Mike Vango has been appointed group marketing manager of the Booker Bodies Group. He has moved up from being general manager and previously sales manager of the Newton Abbot branch.
Mr T. R. G. Reast has been appointed managing director of ZF Gears (Great Britain) Ltd and Mr A. E. Jeffery becomes after sales service manager.
Four by Four Hire have appointed Michael Wilkinson as their new general manager based at their Hanworth head office.
Mr Wilkinson will be in charge of co-ordinating the company's hire arrangements. He is a keen cricketer and is married with a son.
Barry Dawson has been appointed home sales manager of Duron Brake Linings. He will be in charge of both replacement and original equipment sales.
