York has acceptances totalling 52.78 per cent of Carrimore's, where Hugh Fraser MP is chairman.
The formal offer document containing York's successfu bid is expected to go out in the next few days.
Last week Mr J. Harrison, York's marketing director, told CM that his company was primarily, interested in buying Carrimore for its potential. Production would be increased and design would be improved. The body construction sid would also be developed.
