Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

years ago and I am due to apply for renewal of my licence in the very near future. I have been told! would not be eligible to drive heavy goods vehicles on my new licence but only vehicles up to 3 tons gvw. If I can get from a previous employer proof that I have driven vehicles of Class 1 or 2 before the new regulations concerning hgv drivers licensing come into force, am I then able to apply for a licence? I can get proof from a previous employer which would cover the period from January 1968 until my disqualification on 1st October 1968.

A You will not be able to qualify for an hgv driving licence of any class because you did not have the qualifying experience during the requisite time which was from February

2 1969 to February 11970. Experience gained at any other time does not count.

It is obvious from this that you will have to take and pass an hgv driving test to enable you to drive any goods vehicle weighing more than 3 tons unladen when the period of your disqualification has expired.
