IS Citizen's Band radio a danger to health apart from being a pain in the neck? Sir Bernard Lovell, the distinguished scientist, raised the question in the Telegraph Sunday Magazine.
He is concerned about effects of radiation, particularly if users buy illegal boosters that can increase the transmitted power by 50 times. Experts disagree on the safe limit of radiation but if the Soviet safety standard (1976) is correct, says Sir Bernard, drivers using CB radio should wear goggles to protect their eyes.
I recommend also plugs to protect their ears,
